President Prabowo greets the public at an Eid al-Fitr open house held at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Saturday (03/21).
President Prabowo Subianto held an open house to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Saturday (03/21).
The open house was warmly welcomed by thousands of citizens who gathered in the palace’s central courtyard.
A warm and friendly atmosphere was apparent when President Prabowo, accompanied by his son Didit Hediprasetyo, personally greeted the public. The President took the time to greet each person individually while wishing them a happy Eid al-Fitr.
The excitement was evident on the happy faces of the people, many of whom were experiencing the Eid atmosphere within the Palace for the first time. One of them was Sinta, a door-to-door massage therapist, who admitted to being overwhelmed because her dream of meeting President Prabowo finally came true.
“I’ve always had this dream of meeting him, and it actually came true. Thank God, I’m so happy. I can’t even put it into words. I hope the President and his Vice President live long lives and are blessed with prosperity,” said Sinta.
She also expressed her gratitude for being able to visit the Presidential Palace for the first time in her life. For Sinta, being at the Palace was not just to celebrate Eid, but also to meet the President and Vice President in person.
“Thank God, my wish came true. Perhaps God has mercy on me. I was even given a present. I’m so grateful,” she added.
Similarly, Fitri, a native of Padang, West Sumatra province, who now lives in Kebon Kacang subdistrict, Jakarta, was also proud to shake hands directly with President Prabowo during this special moment.
“This is my first time visiting the palace. I felt so honored to meet the President, to shake hands with him directly, and it made me feel incredibly proud,” said Fitri.
Although she came without any special preparation, Fitri said that she was satisfied with the experience. She also hopes that similar events continue to be held in the future as a way to show the connection between the leader and the people.
“I hope that in the coming years, open houses like this will still be held,” she added.
This year’s Eid al-Fitr open house at the Presidential Palace served as a special occasion, bringing President Prabowo into close contact with the public while reinforcing the values of fostering goodwill and togetherness, as well as strengthening the bond between leaders and the people during the festive season.
