President Prabowo Subianto has stated that various government priority program – including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) initiative, free health checkups, and efforts to promote equitable education, have delivered tangible results and generated broad economic impacts for the community.

According to the President, these policies are being implemented in an integrated manner as part of the national development strategy to strengthen the economic foundation, enhance the quality of human resources, and achieve sustainable public welfare.

The Head of State also underlined that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has expanded rapidly, reaching tens of millions of beneficiaries across Indonesia, adding that the implementation of the MBG program has generated significant economic flow effects by creating a business ecosystem and job opportunities in several regions.

“Our MBG program has now reached 60 million beneficiaries. By December 2026, we will reach 82 million. At present, MBG has 22,275 operational SPPG kitchens, with an additional 13,829 currently in the assessment and application process. With just 22,000 kitchens, we are already able to create one million jobs—22,000 multiplied by 50 people paid daily,” the President said at a press conference during the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Central and Regional Governments at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in Bogor regency, West Java province, Monday (02/02).

In the health sector, the President underscored that the Government has expanded public access to basic services. Free health checkups are among the flagship programs that directly address people’s needs.

“Seventy millions of our citizens have received free health checkups. This is the first time in our history,” the President said.

In the field of education, the Head of State emphasized the Government’s commitment to narrowing disparities in education quality among regions, adding that the Government has ensured that educational assistance and facilities are distributed to all schools, including those in underdeveloped areas.

“You can see our other achievements: 282,180 schools have received Interactive Flat Panels. This year’s coverage is complete. Almost all schools, including those in the outermost, remote, and underdeveloped regions, have received them. Remote islands and even schools in mountainous areas now have interactive panels,” he said.

On that occasion, the Head of State also highlighted the Government’s strategic measures to strengthen the national economic foundation.

The consolidation of state assets through the Indonesian Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) is being carried out to ensure professional management and safeguard long-term national interests.

“We have established a Sovereign Wealth Fund. I have consolidated all state assets under one management and one administration, with a total value of US$1 trillion. Overall, assets under management amount to US$1,040 billion,” he stated.

To conclude his remarks, the President reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to continue working consistently and with discipline, while emphasizing that all achievements and policies are directed toward realizing national independence and shared prosperity.
