At Nuzulul Qur’an Commemoration, President Prabowo: No Nation Succeeds Without Eradicating Corruption

President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to eradicating corruption and various forms of misconduct that harm the state. The statement was delivered by the Head of State in his remarks at the National Commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 AH/2026 CE held at the State Palace, Tuesday (03/10).

The Head of State emphasized that corruption and the abuse of power pose a serious threat to national progress. Therefore, the Government is committed to eliminating practices that disadvantage the people and ensuring that the nation’s wealth is utilized to the greatest possible extent for the benefit of society.

“We must eradicate corruption, misconduct, and all practices that are wrong and unjust, practices that are prohibited by all religions. This is the teaching of religion and the lesson of history. No country succeeds when its government is unable to cleanse itself of corruption. This is the teaching of both religion and history,” President Prabowo stressed.

Furthermore, the Head of State highlighted the importance of safeguarding the nation’s wealth so that it can truly be used for the welfare of the people. He noted that Indonesia possesses vast resources that should be utilized to address various social challenges, including poverty and hunger.

“We have been blessed by the Almighty with immense wealth. On this occasion, I reiterate that we must strive relentlessly to eliminate poverty, hunger, and suffering among all our people. We must not allow any of our citizens to be neglected. We are capable. We have been endowed with sufficient wealth by the Almighty,” the Head of State remarked.

President Prabowo further emphasized that the Government will not allow any parties to exploit the people’s wealth for personal or group interests.

“We must not be defeated by those who seek to take the wealth of our people, move it abroad, and keep the Indonesian nation and its people in a state of weakness. I am grateful and thankful that on this blessed evening I continue to receive guidance, reminders, and renewed spirit,” President Prabowo added.

The Head of State called on all elements of the nation, including religious scholars, community leaders, and all Indonesian citizens, to work together in safeguarding integrity and strengthening the commitment to building a clean and just government. President Prabowo also expressed his confidence that through unity and strong determination, Indonesia will be able to overcome various challenges and realize the nation’s aspirations.
