President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has underscored that he will not always work from his office in Nusantara Capital.

The President made his statement after checking staple food price stability in Delimas Market, Lubuk Pakam district, Deli Serdang regency, North Sumatra province.

“No, I will pay work visits to all regions,” he said to the press.

President Jokowi also reassured that despite working in Nusantara, work visits to multiple regions in the country remain on his agenda. As for the details on travels from Nusantara, the President stated that he will depart from the airport in neighboring Balikpapan city or the new airport in the new capital, depending on the facility’s readiness.

“We will see the condition. If the new airport is ready for operation, I will travel from there. Otherwise, I will travel from Balikpapan,” he said, adding that during his time in Nusantara, he will continue working on government duties. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (DH/MUR)
