Prabowo Subianto on Friday (02/13) expressed his pride and appreciation while inaugurating 1,072 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG), 18 Polri Food Security Warehouses, and leading the groundbreaking of 107 SPPG Polri at SPPG Polri Palmerah, Jakarta.

In his remarks, he emphasized that nutrition fulfillment programs and the strengthening of food security are fundamental to the continuity of the nation’s civilization.

“Today, I must say that I am proud and satisfied. Producing food and meals means sustaining civilization. There is no civilization, there is no Indonesian nation without food,” the President stated.

President Prabowo also expressed appreciation for the Indonesian National Police’s (Polri) initiative in utilizing modern yet affordable technology. He highlighted various equipment used in SPPG operations, ranging from water filtration systems to domestically produced food safety testing tools.

“Earlier, I saw the equipment developed by the Police. I saw water filters, ultraviolet systems to eliminate bacteria on food trays, and food security and food safety test equipment produced domestically that is on par with global standards,” he explained.

The President further revealed the significant achievements of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, which has delivered billions of meal portions to the public. The program’s impact has been directly felt by communities, including reducing social inequality and creating new employment opportunities, he added.

“They see that inequality is decreasing. One kitchen, one SPPG, employs 50 people who previously had no income. Now, they work, they can help their husbands, they can support their children,” the President noted.

From an economic perspective, President Prabowo conveyed reports from business circles indicating increased household consumption as a positive effect of the MBG program. Additionally, the program has revitalized small-scale farmers, as their harvests are absorbed with certainty.

The President affirmed that Indonesia is now on the path to economic resurgence in line with the constitutional mandate. He also stressed the importance of national self-reliance without adopting an anti-foreign stance.

“We will truly stand on our own feet. Indonesia will become a strong nation. Strong, but we must not become arrogant; we will respect all countries,” he said.

In closing, President Prabowo delivered a firm message to all managers of state resources to uphold integrity and prioritize the people’s interests. “Ladies and gentlemen, safeguard the honor, safeguard the interests and safety of the Indonesian people. If you continue practices that harm the nation and the people, the government will use all the powers at its disposal, without discrimination,” he asserted.

This momentum underscores that strengthening nutrition fulfillment and food security programs are not merely public health strategies, but also a central pillar of national economic development and a long-term investment toward the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
