President Prabowo Subianto personally welcomed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Jakarta, on Friday (27/06), at 01:00 pm. PM Anwar paid an official visit to Indonesia to enhance strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries.
During the state welcome, President Prabowo also presented the delegations in attendance to receive PM Anwar upon his arrival.
From the Air Force Base, the two leaders were together heading for Merdeka Palace in one presidential vehicle. President Prabowo would host a state welcoming ceremony for PM Anwar’s official visit.
PM Anwar’s official visit served as a pivotal moment to maintain the sustained engagements between the two fraternal countries, which had long enjoyed close and strong relations. Therefore, several high-level engagements, including a bilateral meeting between the two leaders, were on the schedule.
Previously, the two leaders had meetings in various bilateral and regional fora. The most recent one was held during the 46th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last May.
