President Prabowo, Friendly Country Leaders Exchange Eid Greetings

President Prabowo Subianto Friday (04/05) exchanged Eid al- Fitr greetings with a number of leaders of friendly country through phone calls as a token of friendship and solidarity between nations.

President Prabowo talked with five leaders, namely President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia), Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah, and President of France Emmanuel Macron.

“President Prabowo expressed his highest consideration for warmest greetings and prayers extended by those leaders. He also extended wishes that this year’s Eid could serve as a momentum to strengthen international friendship and partnership,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a press statement.

According to him, President Prabowo also expressed hope that Eid al-Fitr will bring peace, happiness, and a renewed spirit for Muslims and all people around the world.

In the conversation with President Erdogan, both leaders reaffirmed the importance of the close relations between Indonesia and Türkiye, particularly in the sectors of trade, defense, and solidarity among Muslims worldwide.

In a phone call with Prime Minister and King of Malaysia, President Prabowo emphasized the significance of Indonesia-Malaysia bilateral cooperation in preserving regional stability and achieving prosperity of peoples in both countries.

Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Hassanal Bolkiah, who is the leader of the closest neighbor to Indonesia in Southeast Asia, also extended his warm greetings. President Prabowo responded it by expressing Indonesia’s commitment to continue strengthening its relations with Brunei Darussalam.

Eid greetings were also extended by President of France Emmanuel Macron. In his response, President Prabowo underscored the needs for cross-cultural dialogue and global cooperation amidst the increasingly complex global challenges.
