President Prabowo Leads 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony

President Prabowo Subianto, on Thursday (10/01) led the 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration ceremony held at the Pancasila Sakti Monument in Lubang Buaya, Jakarta. The ceremony which took place solemnly serves as a moment to commemorate the services of revolutionary heroes while affirming Pancasila as the nation’s foundation and ideology.

President Prabowo arrived at the Pancasila Sakti Monument at approximately 8:00 AM Western Indonesian Time. Upon arrival, the Head of State received a report from Ceremony Officer Brigadier General of the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) Fitriana Nur Heru Wibawa, who currently serves as Chief of Staff of the Permanent Garrison Command I/Jakarta.

The ceremony then began with a national salute, an honorary salute, and a report from the Ceremony Commander to President Prabowo who was acting as the Ceremony Inspector. Meanwhile, Colonel Mar Edo Sidharta Halilintar served as the Ceremony Commander.

In a solemn atmosphere, the President led all ceremony participants in a moment of silence. He invited all participants to commemorate and pray for the heroes who have died for the nation and state.

“To commemorate the souls and services of the heroes, the nation’s fighters, and especially the revolutionary heroes, let us observe a moment of silence,” said President Prabowo.

The ceremony continued with the reading out of the Pancasila text by Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. Meanwhile, Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Ahmad Muzani read out the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

Afterward, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Puan Maharani read out and signed the pledge script. The ceremony concluded with a prayer recited by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar.

Attending the ceremony were also Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, heads of high-ranking state institutions, ministers and vice ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, ambassadors of friendly countries, and other invited guests.

The presence of representatives from various institutions added to the solemnity of the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day.

Following the ceremony, President Prabowo, along with several ministers and invited guests, visited the Lubang Buaya well. This historic location serves as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices of the revolutionary heroes.

The President stood for a moment near the Lubang Buaya well. Then, he offered a prayer for the fallen heroes of the revolution.

The commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day at the Pancasila Sakti Monument serves as a moment to commemorate the sacrifices of the heroes while strengthening the commitment of all elements of the nation to maintaining unity, sovereignty, and the values of Pancasila as the foundation of national life.
