President Prabowo Subianto receives warm welcome from Indonesian diaspora in South Korea, Tuesday (03/31)
Presiden Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (03/31) received warm welcome from Indonesian diaspora in South Korea, as he arrived at the hotel where he would stay in Seoul.
At the hotel entrance, two children in traditional attire handed a bouquet of flowers to the President upon his arrival, to which the President accepted and smiled warmly.
Khairul, a graduate student at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), said that he was very happy about this visit. He added that the President gave him an encouragement to complete his study.
“The President asked me where do I pursue my master’s degree and motivate me to complete my study,” he said.
Echoing a similar sentiment, fellow student Pujianti who pursues a doctoral degree at Seoul National University said that meeting President Prabowo would be an unforgettable experience. She expressed hope that Indonesia-South Korea’s good relations would further open more opportunities particularly for students from Eastern part of Indonesia like her.
Rima, an Indonesian diaspora in South Korea also expressed her happiness and hope that relations between Indonesia and Korea will become stronger and bring benefits to people in both countries.
“Since yesterday I haven’t been able to sleep well. It’s truly an extraordinary experience. It’s an honor for me to be invited by the Indonesian Embassy to welcome the President” said Rima. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/MMB)
