President Prabowo, Top National Entrepreneurs Discuss National Economy, Investment

President Prabowo Subianto, Thursday (03/06), welcomed eight prominent entrepreneurs at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

The meeting served as a strategic forum between the Government and the business sector to discuss the development of the national economy and the currently running key programs.

The eight entrepreneurs present at the meeting came from various industries, including Anthony Salim, Sugianto Kusuma, Prajogo Pangestu, Boy Thohir, Franky Widjaja, Dato Sri Tahir, James Riady, and Tomy Winata. Each of them has a distinct business background, ranging from food, property, energy, finance, to manufacturing sectors.

In a warm and productive atmosphere, President Prabowo discussed several strategic issues, including the free nutritious meals program as one of the Government’s flagship policies, infrastructure development, strengthening of the textile industry, and efforts to achieve food and energy self-sufficiency. Furthermore, industrialization and investment management through the Danantara Investment Management Agency also became one of the key topics of the discussion.

During the meeting, the President expressed his appreciation for the entrepreneurs’ role in supporting various government policies, particularly those related to the people’s welfare.

This meeting reflects the Government’s efforts to foster close communication with the business sector to ensure national economic stability as well as to attract investments that can create jobs and enhance the competitiveness of the domestic industry.

In the future, it is hoped that the synergy between the Government and the private sector will grow stronger to realize the country’s vision to become an advanced country with independent and highly competitive economy, in line with President Prabowo’s mission. (BPMI) (EST/TM)
