Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, Vice Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Mr. Angga Raka Prabowo, Vice Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Admiral (Ret.) Didit Herdiawan, Vice Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry Mr. Todotua Pasaribu, Vice Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Mr. Ossy Dermawan;
Distinguished President Director of PLN as I have mentioned earlier, Danantara’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Professor Sigit Puji Santosa, President Commissioner of Pertamina Mr. Mochamad Iriawan, and President Director of Pertamina Mr. Simon Mantiri;
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, it was also announced earlier that the Governor of Central Java is present here, as well as the Mayor of Batam and the Regent of Belitung. Is the Governor of Bangka Belitung present here? Oh, he is present here online.

As people of faith, let us continuously offer our praise and gratitude to God the Almighty, the Lord of all creation, for all the grace and blessings He has bestowed upon us, so that we are still able to enjoy peace, we are still able to breathe and remain in good health, so that today we can gather here for the launching and groundbreaking ceremony of the 100 Gigawatt Peak (GWp) Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Program. Also, as today marks the commemoration of the Mawlid al-Nabi, the birth of our Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him, I extend my congratulations to all Muslims around the world, wherever you may be. On this significant day, we continue to work because we are also aware that our obligation as devout servants of God, in addition to praying and upholding our faith and religion, is to produce tangible results and to work hard to achieve real progress for our people.

We are also aware that the entire world is facing numerous challenges. This year, the world is experiencing what is known as El Niño, and this year’s El Niño is quite strong, one of the strongest predicted. Under these circumstances, we must remain more vigilant in addressing existing vulnerabilities. I have visited several locations and inspected them personally, and alhamdulillah, all elements of regional governments, ministries and agencies, the TNI, the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Forestry are all working effectively. I believe the situation is now beginning to be resolved and mitigated in several areas, and I hope that within the next one to two weeks, everything can be fully addressed. We have deployed significant resources. We have demonstrated that our nation is strong. We have now deployed dozens of helicopters, more than a dozen aircraft, various techniques, hundreds of water drilling rigs, hundreds of water pumps, and thousands of personnel. Therefore, I am confident and proud of the achievements of our personnel in the field. I convey this on this occasion because, although we face trials, obstacles, and challenges, we are strong, we are capable, and we will continue to prove it.

The disaster in Aceh was resolved within a timeframe that many people considered impossible. In East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), our response was very rapid and massive. The nation is present everywhere, and I, as President and holder of the people’s mandate, continue to consolidate the strength of the state. The essence of this state strength is that all national assets and all national wealth must be managed to the best of our ability, with honesty, based on patriotism and love for our homeland, love for our people, and a profound sense of responsibility. Therefore, we must fight and eradicate corruption to its very roots. We must have that determination, even though many parties are always critical and view that we are not serious. We are serious.

How can we now overcome problems, have hundreds of helicopters, and deploy heavy equipment if we do not have the money? Where does that money come from? That money comes from what we have saved by tackling ongoing corruption. We have stopped those leakages, but we are not satisfied. We must manage all finances even more rigorously. As an example, Danantara’s performance, in my opinion, is remarkable. I believe the leadership of Danantara deserves to receive a state honor. In less than two years, Danantara’s revenue and the revenue of state-owned enterprises have increased by hundreds of percent. Several SOEs that had incurred losses for ten or even dozens of years are now beginning to turn a profit, with increases sometimes beyond what we could have anticipated. This is due to leadership, this is due to strong leadership, this is because Danantara’s leadership is honest and has a profound love for our homeland. I am confident and encouraged by the achievements we have attained.

Today is an important day. We are launching 100 gigawatts of solar power for Indonesia. For the record, as the CoordinatingMinister for Economic Affairs noted, Indonesia’s total electricity capacity now is 88 gigawatts—all of it, from coal, oil, gas, geothermal, and other sources—totaling 88 gigawatts. We will build 100 gigawatts, and we are not playing around. Our target is 100 gigawatts within three years. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, can you realize it within three years? Why is your voice not loud enough? Ready? Good. Head of Danantara, are you ready to support? Can you do it? Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, are you ready to coordinate everything? President Director of PLN, are you ready? President Director of Pertamina, are you ready? Ready? Say it loud, ready! That’s it. We will prove it again. In three years from now, we will gather again. We now always speak with evidence. As the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources reported earlier, there have been significant savings. I will not repeat it to avoid making this speech too long. Correct?

Indeed, I do not wish to speak too long, but the point is that with 100 gigawatts, we will truly become a nation that stands on its own feet. We will not fear any developments anywhere in the world. With 100 gigawatts, with the geothermal resources we possess, with the gas fields we have discovered, and with oil lifting that must continue to increase, we must not import even one more barrel of oil. We must not import, in the shortest possible time, even one LPG cylinder. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, are you capable? That is good. Thank you, Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet. That is the spirit! Show your spirit and courage.

I believe that is all I have to convey. Thank you to everyone present here today. Today is an important day. We are launching the project soon, and I believe we may reach 100 gigawatts in less than three years. Correct? Previously, for food self-sufficiency, I set a four-year target, and the economic team, the agricultural team, and the food team succeeded in achieving it within one year. This time, I give the energy team a three-year target, or instead, what about a two-year target? If you succeed within two years, the energy team will receive another reward. I will award it.

That is all from me. Thank you, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. Today is an important day, even though it is a holiday and even though it is the Mawlid al-Nabi, we are striving for our people. Indeed, in the Red and White Cabinet, there may hardly be any holiday. And that is the risk of serving our people. Those who are not capable may step aside, many wish to replace you.

Today, this afternoon, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, by the grace of God the Almighty, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby officially launch the 100 Gigawatt Peak (GWp) Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Program, commencing with 14 solar power plants in the provinces of West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, the Bangka Belitung Islands, and the Riau Islands, with a total capacity of 5.3 Gigawatt Peak (GWp).
