The Government has announced it will give Eid allowance and the annual bonus (known as the 13th salary) for 9.4 million state apparatus, including civil servants, government employees with work agreements, judges, personnel of the Indonesia National Defense Forces (TNI) and personnel of the Indonesian National Police, and retirees.
This policy is stated in Government Regulation Number 11 of 2025, which was signed by the President himself.
“The Eid allowance and the annual bonus will be given to all state apparatus at both central and regional levels, including civil servants, government employees with work agreements, personnel of the Indonesian National Police and the National Defense Forces, judges, as well as retirees, with a total of 9.4 million recipients,” the President said at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (03/11).
According to him, the amount of the Eid bonus and the annual bonus includes the basic salary, fixed allowances, and a 100 percent performance allowance.
Meanwhile, for regional state apparatus, the same policy applies similar to the central state apparatus, albeit adjusted based on each region’s fiscal capacity.
“For retirees, it will be given in the amount of their monthly pension,” the President said, adding that the Eid bonus for state apparatus will be disbursed two weeks before Eid al-Fitr, starting Monday (03/17).
Meanwhile, the annual bonus will be paid in June this year, coinciding with the start of the new school year.
“We hope this policy will help manage expenses during the homecoming season, especially during the Eid holiday,” the President said, while emphasizing that this policy is part of the Government’s efforts to help the public, particularly in facing high mobility and increased consumption during Ramadan and the Eid holiday.
The Government has also previously issued various policies, including reduction in airfare prices by at least 13-14 percent during the two-week Eid holiday period, as well as reductions in toll road and transportation fares during the homecoming season.
“Next, is the policy of Eid bonus for private sector, state-owned enterprises (SPE), and regional government-owned enterprises employees. The holiday bonus will also be enjoyed by online drivers and couriers that we announced yesterday,” the President added.
The Head of State also expressed his appreciation to his administration for their hard work in preparing these policies.
“I would like to thank Minister of Finance and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms who have worked hard to prepare these matters. I’d also like to thank all state apparatus, judges, and personnel of the Indonesian National Defense Forces and the Indonesian National Police wherever they are serving,” he remarked. (BPMI) (EST/EP)
