President Prabowo, President MBZ Hold Talks on Gaza Peace Efforts

President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (04/09) met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at the Qasr Al Shatie Palace in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a range of strategic issues, including efforts to establish peace in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza.
In his statement to the media, President Prabowo said that he had specifically consulted with President MBZ on the current geopolitical dynamics in the region. He also emphasized the importance of inter-country dialogue in seeking peaceful solutions to prolonged conflicts.
“We discussed various geopolitical developments. We aim to gain insights, thoughts, and perspectives from leaders in this region. We’re all thinking about how we can help resolve the conflict in this area, in Gaza and its surroundings,” the President said.
He also stated that Indonesia remains committed to seeking peaceful solutions through diplomatic means. Therefore, ongoing communication and consultations with world leaders are essential.
“We are looking for peace initiatives, and for that, we must consult with one another to gather better input,” the President added.
In the meantime, President Prabowo revealed that President MBZ expressed his intention to visit Indonesia again.
“He said he wants to visit Jakarta, and I told him that he is always welcome at any time,” the President said.
The meeting between the two leaders further strengthened the longstanding bilateral relations between Indonesia and the UAE and highlighted Indonesia’s active role in global peace diplomacy. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RI/MUR)
