President Prabowo Returns to Indonesia Upon Attending 2026 BRICS Summit

President Prabowo Subianto arrived back in Indonesia in the early hours of Monday (09/14) after concluding his working visit to New Delhi to attend the 2026 BRICS Summit held on September 12–13, 2026.
The aircraft carrying the President and his entourage landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at 00:08 western Indonesian time. Welcoming the President at the foot of the aircraft stairs were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra.
During his stay in New Delhi, the President attended the 2026 BRICS Summit as a full member. At the summit, the President conveyed that unity among BRICS countries would strengthen the position and resilience of each of them.
“By standing together we also become stronger. Strength always begins at home with our people, with our ability to feed our people, to secure the energy that they need, to educate our children, and to give them the opportunity to prosper. That is how we build resilient nations and we become really independent,” the President stated.
His visit to New Delhi also reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to continuously strengthening cooperation with BRICS member states and partners. Indonesia’s participation in the summit was also part of efforts to foster closer collaboration in navigating global dynamics and realizing inclusive and sustainable growth.
Upon completing all scheduled agendas in New Delhi, the President and his limited entourage immediately returned to Indonesia.
Accompanying the President on the flight were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
