President Prabowo Subianto Saturday (11/23) was welcomed with a grand state ceremony at Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As the President’s motorcade arrived at the gate of Qasr Al Watan, it was greeted by a procession featuring horse cavalry, camel cavalry and traditional musicians, accompanied by a 21-gun salute.

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) personally welcomed the Indonesian President at the gate, making the commencement of the official ceremony with the national anthems of the two countries.

Following the anthems, the two leaders received a report from the commander before jointly inspecting the troops and introducing their respective delegations. This was followed by a bilateral meeting between the two leaders and the delegations.

During the meeting, President Prabowo Subianto and President MBZ witnessed the signing of several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in key areas, including industry and advanced technology, energy, health, culture, tourism, mining and infrastructure, as well as governance and reform.

The state welcoming ceremony concluded with a luncheon hosted by President MBZ. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/ABD) (RI/EP)
