President Jokowi Inaugurates AMANAH Youth Creative Hub in Aceh

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (10/15) inaugurated the Youth Creative Hub of Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH), which literally means superior, excellent Acehnese Youth, initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in Aceh Besar regency, Aceh province.

“Developing superior human capital is our key to competing with other countries.” President Jokowi said in his remarks.

The President also expressed optimism regarding Indonesia’s economic growth, which is expected to remain robust this year, with a growth target of above five percent.

“With the inauguration of President-elect, Ret. General Prabowo Subianto, we hope our country’s economy will improve,” the President added.

On the occasion, the Head of State also appreciated the creativity of Acehnese youth, especially in the fashion and coffee industries, since he noted that the products can equal international brands in terms of quality and packaging but were sold at much more affordable prices.

“I’m amazed by the innovation and creativity of the youth in Aceh,” he added.

The President also highlighted innovation in the patchouli oil industry in the province, which has now been processed into high-quality perfume products, thereby significantly improving Aceh’s economy and creating many jobs.

“Such development must be the main focus of the provincial and local governments so that commodity goods continue to develop,” President Jokowi said. (ECH/DNS) (GWH/MUR)
