President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Brunei Darussalam, on Wednesday (05/14), for a state visit. The President was warmly welcomed by Brunei’s Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.

The presence of the Crown Prince was not merely a protocol. It was an act of showing great respect from the Sultanate of Brunei to a leader of a friendly country. The welcoming procession also emphasized the strong, long-standing relations between Indonesia and Brunei that built on brotherhood, cultural similarities, and regional interests.

The Crown Prince’s direct presence to pick up President Prabowo also reflected Brunei’s deep commitment to strengthening strategic relations with Indonesia under the new leadership. This moment also demonstrated the closeness between leaders in the Southeast Asian region who share the same vision of stability, prosperity, and peace.

President Prabowo and the Crown Prince of Brunei then headed to the Nurul Iman Palace where a series of state events would be held, including a bilateral meeting, welcoming ceremony, and state luncheon. (Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat) (TCUD/MMB)
