President Prabowo Subianto Urges Government Officials to Uphold Integrity and Serve the Nation

President Prabowo Subianto (02/01) urged all government officials at both central and regional governments to fully understand their respective roles and responsibilities.

“People hope to have respectable, fair, and honest leaders who work not only for certain groups but for the entire nation. They despise, in fact, leaders who lead only for their own benefits,” the President said in his remarks at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of Central and Regional Governments at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), West Java province, Monday (02/01).

The President went on to say that the coordination meeting provided a valuable opportunity for him to meet with nearly all leaders from central and regional governments.

On that occasion, the President also remarked that Indonesia is often regarded by many as “the impossible nation”.

Therefore, the President emphasized that Indonesia must be governed with vigilant leadership, deep situational awareness, and a strong foundation in the nation’s history.

“We must become leaders that understand our history and background, including the history of the entire archipelago – from Sabang to Merauke,” he said, adding that Indonesia was built upon the great sacrifices of its people.

To that end, the President underscored said all leaders must dedicate themselves whole-heartedly to serving the interests of the nation and the state.
