President Prabowo Subianto Underscores TNI–National Police Unity, Dedication in First Leadership Meeting at Presidential Palace

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (02/09) delivered a briefing to participants of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) – the Indonesian National Police Leadership Meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

This marks the first time the TNI–the National Police Leadership Meeting has been held at the Presidential Palace.

In a written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya conveyed that the President expressed his appreciation to all the TNI and the National Police personnel, particularly for their swift response to disasters across various regions.

The President also underscored the importance of reinforcing unity and synergy between the TNI and the National Police at all levels, from the highest leadership to the grassroots.

The President also reminded all members of the TNI and the Indonesian National Police to uphold the trust placed in them by the public and to demonstrate it through their readiness to serve.

“Prove the people’s trust in the TNI and the National Police by always being ready and responsive in assisting the community wherever and whenever needed,” the Cabinet Secretary stated.

The President also conveyed his appreciation to personnel of the TNI and the Indonesian National Police for their role in safeguarding, supporting, and facilitating the Government’s strategic programs across various sectors.

“I’d like to extend my appreciation to all the TNI and the National Police  personnel who have safeguarded, supported, and facilitated the implementation of the Government’s strategic programs, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, Village Cooperatives, People’s Schools, food and energy sovereignty, as well as the construction of bridges in villages for residents and schoolchildren,” Teddy stated.

On that occasion, the Head of State also underscored the importance of ensuring that law enforcement is carried out as fairly and justly as possible for all citizens.

The President also directed the TNI and the Indonesian National Police, in coordination with local governments, to take an active role in maintaining environmental cleanliness, public health, and security through the Indonesia ASRI program.

“Together with local governments, we are implementing the Indonesia ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) program nationwide, beginning with government offices and their surrounding environments,” he added.

The President also emphasized the importance of safeguarding Indonesia’s natural resources from all forms of violations and illegal exploitation by any party.

“Protect all of Indonesia’s natural resources from any form of violation and illegal exploitation by any party,” Teddy said.

Furthermore, Teddy stated that the 2026 TNI–the National Police Leadership Meeting at the Merdeka Palace served as a strategic momentum to reinforce the shared vision between the Government and the TNI–the National Police apparatus.

“The 2026 TNI–the National Police Leadership Meeting at the Palace serves as a key momentum to strengthen the shared vision between the Government and the TNI–National Police apparatus in maintaining national stability, while ensuring that strategic programs are implemented swiftly, accurately, and effectively,” he concluded.
