Gov’t Affirms Commitment to Strengthening National Programs Monitoring

The Government made a firm commitment to strengthening monitoring of national strategic programs to ensure that all policies are carried out in an accountable manner and free from corrupt practices. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi gave the statement at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta (04/06).
“We are clearly determined to fight against corruption,” the Minister emphasized.
Furthermore, Minister Prasetyo mentioned that strengthening the monitoring is applied to all government programs carried out by the ministries and institutions. Therefore, the Government through all its monitoring agencies will continue to encourage the monitoring function to carry out their tasks optimally.
“Indeed, monitoring function must be carried out in all programs, such as internal audits of government finance carried out by the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP). All ministries and institutions should be monitored routinely,” he explained.
In addition to institutional monitoring, Minister Prasetyo said that President Prabowo directly monitors and evaluates the implementation of government priority programs. According to him, the President regularly receives progress reports on the programs of the ministries and institutions in order to ensure that the development target can be achieved accordingly.
