President Prabowo: Coming from Working-Class Families, Top Graduates at IPDN Prove Educational Equality

President Prabowo Subianto expressed his appreciation for the diversity and equal access to education at the state-run Institute of Public Administration (IPDN). He conveyed this statement in his remarks while leading the Inauguration Ceremony of IPDN’s 33rd Class of Junior Civil Servant Graduates at the IPDN Parade Field, Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang regency, on Wednesday (07/29).
According to the President, the equal opportunity in IPDN is reflected in the top ten graduates’ backgrounds as their parents come from diverse professions and economic conditions.
“Before stepping up to the podium, I received a report from the Minister of Home Affairs, ‘Mr. President, the top ten graduates of this class all come from very humble families.’ I was just informed that they are the children of laborers, farmers, and even non-commissioned officers of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI),” stated the President.
He noted that the diverse backgrounds prove that IPDN’s student selection is conducted fairly, providing equal opportunities to all children of the nation.
“This fact proves that IPDN’s selection process carried out by the Ministry of Home Affairs has been successful,” he added.
The Head of State further expressed his hope that this commitment will be maintained to recruit and produce an exceptional generation of young people from various regions and social strata. He emphasized that future leaders could emerge from any backgrounds if they are given equal opportunities.
“We want the selection process to be fair. Regardless of their lineage, any of the nation’s excellent sons and daughters can be admitted. This proves that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is working well. If day laborers’ children can graduate and become civil service officers, who knows one day they might become great leaders,” he stated.
In addition, the President underscored that the implementation of a meritocratic system is a clear evidence of the successful application of Pancasila values in the national life. He also expressed his pride in the achievements of the young generation who succeeded through their own abilities and hard work.
“This proves that NKRI succeeds and Pancasila is the right ideology. NKRI must be led by the best and most excellent individuals who truly uphold Pancasila and are selected based on meritocracy. To those who excel, please step forward and take the lead. This fills my heart with pride,” concluded the President. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (NST/TM)
