On the commemoration of the 40th National Children’s Day with the theme “Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia,” Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to providing maximum protection for Indonesian children as they represent the country’s hope and future.

“Children are the beacon of hope and reflection of the noble aspirations of the Indonesian nation,” Pramono said in his remarks on National Children’s Day, which falls on July 23.

In his statement, Pramono also highlighted new challenges which arise with technological advancements. He said that in the rapidly evolving digital age, the challenges of child protection are not only in the real world but also in the digital world.

“We must be vigilant and provide protection for children using the internet,” he said, while emphasizing the importance of providing digital education and literacy to children from an early age to tackle these challenges.

“Therefore, it is crucial for all of us to provide digital education and literacy to children from an early age,” he remarked.
