President Prabowo Arrives in Washington D.C.

President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday (11/10) arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C., the United States, at around 4.00 p.m. local time.

President Prabowo’s arrival was welcomed by Acting Chief of Protocol of the United States Ethan Rosenzweig, United States Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, Chargé d’affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington D.C. Ida Bagus Made Bimantara, Indonesian Defence Attaché to the United States Air Marshal Wisoko Aribowo, Functional Coordinator for Protocol and Consular Affairs the Indonesian Embassy in Washington D.C. Gustaav Ferdinandus.

Afterward, the guard of honor accompanied President Prabowo to his vehicle. President Prabowo and his entourage then proceeded to the hotel where they would stay during the visit.

On this official visit, President Prabowo is slated to meet President of the United States Joe Biden at the White House next Tuesday (11/12).

Previously, President Prabowo departed from Beijing Capital International Airport in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to Washington D.C. on Sunday (11/10) at 2.40 p.m. local time. During his visit to Beijing, President Prabowo had meetings with PRC President Xi Jinping, PRC Prime Minister Li Qiang, and Chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji.

Joining President Prabowo in the visit to the US were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Development/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (AF/DH)
