President Prabowo Subianto Receives TNI Leaders, Reviews Strategic Development Programs
President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (8/6) met with Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Force (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, TNI Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, and the Indonesian Chiefs of Staff at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
“President Prabowo Subianto received TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, TNI Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Chief of Staff of the Army Commander Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Staff of the Navy Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Chief of Staff of the Air Force Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Thursday (8/6),” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in a written statement.
At the meeting, the TNI leadership reported on the progress of several strategic programs aimed at supporting equitable development and improving public welfare, including:
- The construction of 2,500 village bridges, expected to be completed by August 2026
- The development of approximately 3,000 clean water facilities in various regions
- The village electricity program, particularly in border areas, which will continue throughout the year
- TNI community service activities to be held across Indonesia in commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day
The meeting also discussed the TNI’s commitment to supporting various government priority programs. In connection with the commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, President Prabowo Subianto urged the TNI to prepare something special for the public.
“President Prabowo Subianto specifically urged the TNI to present something special for the public during the commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day. An event that reflects the strong spirit of independence and service to the nation,” Teddy said.
Through these various programs, the TNI continues to strength its roles not only as the frontline defender of national sovereignty, but also as a strategic partner of the Government.
