President Prabowo Subianto Appoints New Ministers, Orders Immediate Action

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (09/08) appointed new ministers and deputy ministers in the Red and White Cabinet at the State Palace, Jakarta.
Following the inauguration, the newly appointed officials pledged their commitment to immediately begin working in line with the President’s directives.
In their statement after the inauguration, the officials expressed their readiness to implement the President’s directives, both in enhancing public service and advancing the national development agenda.
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf conveyed President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to prioritize improving services for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims. This includes seeking the best solutions to make the cost of the Hajj more affordable.
“The President’s instruction is a mandate for me as Minister of Hajj and Umrah, as well as for Dahnil as the Deputy Minister. It is not an easy task as I experienced it firsthand over the last ten months the challenges of managing Hajj and Umrah, both in Indonesia and in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, I feel deeply honored to receive the responsibility and will take all necessary measures to provide the best possible service for Hajj pilgrims,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers/Head of the Protection Agency (P2MI) Mukhtarudin emphasized the importance of realizing the Government’s grand vision.
“Migrant workers are an important issue that we must give serious attention to. I will carry out my duties to the best of my ability in line with the President’s directive,” Mukhtarudin said.
Echoing a similar sentiment, Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Joko Yuliantono affirmed his commitment to immediately continuing the programs that have been initiated, including the Red and White cooperatives.
“Starting tomorrow, we will begin working as quickly as possible, especially for the Red and White village/urban cooperatives and cooperatives in general,” said Ferry.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa also conveyed the President’s instruction to strengthen the national economy, which has been experiencing a slowdown. He stated that this slowdown has already been identified and will be addressed without delay.
“The economy is currently slowing down. We have studied the weaknesses and handle the situation,” he said. (BPMI) (EST/EP)
