President Prabowo Confers State Decorations on Farmers and Agricultural Figures
President Prabowo Subianto conferred the Decorations of the Republic of Indonesia on a number of figures and practitioners in the agriculture and food sectors during the National Harvest Festival and the Announcement of National Food Self-Sufficiency.
President Prabowo Subianto conferred the Decorations of the Republic of Indonesia on a number of figures and practitioners in the agriculture and food sectors during the National Harvest Festival and the Announcement of National Food Self-Sufficiency 2025, held in Kertamukti Village, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, on Wednesday (01/07). The conferment was part of a series of events marking the achievement of national food self-sufficiency in 2025.
The award ceremony commenced with the reading of Presidential Decrees of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 and 2/TK/Year 2026 by the Secretary to the President for Military Affairs, Major General TNI Wahyu Yudhayana. President Prabowo then personally bestowed the decorations upon the representatives of the award recipients as a form of the State’s appreciation for their service and dedication in supporting national food security and sovereignty.
On the occasion, President Prabowo conferred the Bintang Jasa Utama Medal upon the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman. In addition, the Bintang Jasa Pratama Medal was awarded to Heri Sunarto, a farmer from the Ngudi Luhur Farmer Group, Sukoharjo Regency, representing four other recipients.
Meanwhile, the Bintang Jasa Nararya Medal was awarded to five recipients, with two representatives present at the ceremony, namely Bobby Irfan Effendi, an agricultural extension worker from East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, and Winarto, a farmer from the Sri Sedhono Farmer Group, Ngawi Regency.
During the same series of events, President Prabowo also conferred the Satyalancana Wira Karya Award upon 102 recipients who were deemed to have rendered significant service in supporting the development of the agricultural and food sectors. Representatives of the award recipients who attended the ceremony included, among others:
- Lieutenant General TNI Mohammad Naudi Nurdika (Commander of the TNI Education and Training Command);
- Setyo Wahono, Regent of Bojonegoro;
- Aep Syaepuloh, Regent of Karawang;
- AKBP Toni Kasmiri, Chief of South Lampung Police Resort;
- AKBP Yugi Bayu Hendarto, Chief of Garut Police Resort;
- Lieutenant Colonel Andhi Ardana Valeriandra Putra, Deputy Assistant for Territorial Affairs, Kodam XVIII/Kasuari;
- Lieutenant Colonel Dili Eko Setyawan, Commander of the Merauke District Military Command;
- Don Muzakir, Chairman of the National Executive Board of Tani Merdeka Indonesia;
- Mugi Raharjo, Agricultural Extension Worker of Bojonegoro Regency;
- Aseng, a farmer from the Ciraden Farmer Group, Cianjur Regency;
- Nurul Hadi, a farmer from the Sri Ki Lamaran Farmer Group, Indramayu Regency.
The conferment of these decorations reflects the State’s commitment to granting the highest appreciation to all stakeholders, from policymakers to farmers and field extension officers, who have made tangible contributions to the realization of national food self-sufficiency. Through this momentum, President Prabowo reaffirmed that success in the food sector is the result of collective efforts by all elements of the nation and constitutes an essential foundation for national resilience, state sovereignty, and the welfare of the Indonesian people.
