As many as 597,898 Family Assistance Teams have supported the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program for expectant mothers, breastfeeding mothers, and children not enrolled in early education, with 42,163 of these teams directly distributing assistance to the people.

Minister of Population and Family Development/Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency Wihaji reported this achievement to President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/25)

“There are already a little over three million beneficiaries of MBG for expectant mothers, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers not enrolled in early education,” he said, adding that the President ordered that education carried out by family planning instructors and field workers be improved as the challenges become more dynamic.

“We also need the instructors to continue to provide education and disseminate programs of our ministry, as ordered by the President,” he said.

According to Wihaji, President Prabowo gave sincere appreciation to all Family Assistance Teams and instructors across Indonesia for their dedication to distributing free nutritious meals directly to the beneficiaries’ residences.

“In fact, the President stated that he would provide motorcycles to all instructors across Indonesia to lighten their burden and facilitate the free meal distribution,” he said.

Wihaji also stressed that President Prabowo’s move to transform the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) into a ministry has increased motivation among all members to promote family development.

“The President appreciates all instructors and Family Assistance Teams who have worked on the ground to distribute free, nutritious meals for expectant mothers, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers not enrolled in early education, going door to door,” he remarked.
