President Prabowo Arrives in Jakarta After Attending Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt

President Prabowo Subianto has arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday (10/14), after attending the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt. The summit marked a historic forum that brought together world leaders to witness the signing of the peace and ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his delegation arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at 2:30 P.M. local time. The President was welcomed upon arrival by Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, Head of the Government Communications Agency Angga Raka Prabowo, and Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) General Tandyo Budi Revita.
During the summit, President Prabowo personally witnessed the signing of the peace agreement by U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. From the front row, seated beside French President Emmanuel Macron, President Prabowo observed the ceremony as a testament to Indonesia’s commitment and consistency in promoting global peace.
On the occasion, President Prabowo received high praise from President Trump for his role in helping bring about the historic agreement. As a leader widely regarded with great respect, the commendation for President Prabowo reflected the international recognition of Indonesia’s active role in promoting peace and advancing humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
With the conclusion of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, President Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s unwavering commitment to continue playing an active role in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gaza, as well as in strengthening international cooperation to uphold global peace.
