President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo led the groundbreaking for the construction of Nusantara Capital Forest Terrace by Plataran in Nusantara Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan province on Wednesday (25/09) morning.

According to the President, Plataran’s investment would encourage others to invest in IKN.

“I truly appreciate Plataran’s investment in IKN because we know how prestigious Plataran is. It will spark the enthusiasm and spirit of other investors to do the same since Plataran already did,” said the President.

The President explained that Nusantara Capital Forest Terrace by Plataran will provide world-class venues and dining, adding that the project, built on an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, will be completed in a year.

“I asked Mr. Yozua when the construction would be completed. Regarding investment, I always ask when [the project] will be completed. He answered that it would be finished in approximately one year, Insha Allah. Thus, in a year, we will be able to see Plataran in IKN,” he said.

In addition to the forest terrace construction, the President also conveyed the latest updates on the new capital infrastructure, especially Nusantara Airport, where he made the first landing on Tuesday (09/24).

The President pointed out that all airport facilities are scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2024, adding that with a 3,000-meter runway, the airport can serve wide-body aircraft, thus supporting increased traffic to IKN.

“We hope that there will be more flights to and from Nusantara Capital. This will provide a lively ecosystem to the capital we love,” he concluded. (TGH/DNS) (ZI/DH)
