“The National Police plays a central role in society. They are always in touch with the daily lives of the people. The National Police has no holidays. They are everywhere. The Head of State of underscored that the National Police must become more agile, adaptive, and have a strategic outlook. He added that they must also become a “cooling system” and a unifier of diversity, and be professional and non-discriminatory in law enforcement, and must also have technical skills superior to those of criminals.

“Especially in facing increasingly complex and sophisticated transnational crimes, the National Police must also keep up with technological advancements and establish cooperation to strengthen the security of our country,” added the President.

Concluding his address, entering the stages of the 2024 regional elections, the President urged the National Police to support and ensure the success of this democratic event by maintaining neutrality, stability, and safeguarding democracy so that the regional elections can proceed safely, honestly, and fairly.

“Happy 78th Bhayangkara Day. Be Bhayangkara people who uphold the Tribrata internally, synergize externally, especially with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and faithfully serve and protect the community. Long live the National Police!” President Jokowi concluded. (FID/DNS) (AS/EP)
