President Prabowo Subianto Praises Rapid Expansion of People’s Schools
President Prabowo Subianto has expressed his appreciation to teachers, school principals, and the Red and White Cabinet for their hard work in establishing People’s Schools across various regions.
During the Presidential Address to Teachers and Principals of People’s Schools at the Jakarta International Expo (JI-Expo), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Friday (08/22), the Head of State noted that the establishment of 100 schools within such a short time is an extraordinary accomplishment.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am deeply moved today to learn that we now have 100 People’s Schools already established and operating. I have also been informed that this coming September, another 65 schools will commence operations. I believe this is truly an outstanding achievement,” said the President.
The President also acknowledged that the development of People’s Schools would generally require more time. However, he noted that the commitment and dedication of the ministers had enabled the program to advance more rapidly than anticipated.
“I was even surprised when I was told, ‘Pak, by the end of July we are ready with 100 schools.’ I thought they were exaggerating, but in fact, it was indeed 100 schools,” the President recalled.
The Head of State underscored that this success was not merely about the number of schools, but rather a testament to smart work and the spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), while stressing that the nation’s leaders must unite in pursuit of Indonesia’s greater aspirations.
“I now work, reflect, and make decisions solely in the interests of my people. Together with my fellow ministers and commanders, I believe we have devoted our heart and soul in service to the Indonesian people,” President Prabowo affirmed.
Furthermore, the President emphasized that the People’s Schools program is part of a broader strategy to prepare the nation’s future generation. Education, he stated, is a fundamental requirement for Indonesia to be able to manage its own wealth.
“But, ladies and gentlemen, once we regain control of our resources, we will need capable young people to manage them. If we lack the knowledge and expertise to harness those resources, they will be of little use. That is why education is absolutely essential,” he explained.
President Prabowo also conveyed his confidence that Indonesia is now on the right path towards national revival. He called on all elements of the nation to continue working hard, remain united, and stay optimistic in achieving the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.
“We are on the right track. Believe me, we are on the right track. We are moving towards the awakening of the Indonesian nation, as we will reclaim our national wealth for the benefit of the Indonesian people,” the President stressed. (BPMI of the Presidential Secretariat) (AY/MEP)
