President Prabowo Instructs TNI, Polri to Strengthen Solidarity, Integrity, Vigilance

President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to strengthen solidarity, integrity, and vigilance.

The President gave the instructions in his briefing to 800 top-ranking TNI and Polri officers, at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/07).

“The President’s briefing for the participants emphasized the importance of enhancing the unity and operational alertness of TNI and Polri. Maintain integrity and avoid working in silos. It is solely for the convenience and wellbeing of the people,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in his written statement.

Teddy stated that the President also reminded all TNI and Polri officers to maintain public trust in performing their duties, as they belong to the people.

“Maintain public trust. TNI is the people’s soldiers, and Polri is the people’s police. Improve your services to the people and always be the fastest to help the people in every situation,” Teddy said, adding that the Head of State also ordered all TNI and Polri personnel to continue to be a role model in performing their duties.

According to Teddy, the President underscored that the ranks and honor given to the TNI and Polri by the state carry an immense responsibility.

“The President also reminded them that the ranks and honor given by the state come with great responsibility. TNI and Polri officers must be ready to carry out their duties, have courage in facing various challenges, and prioritize national and state interests over other interests,” he said.
