Farmers Voices Aspirations to President Prabowo during Sugarcane Harvest

President Prabowo Subianto Friday (07/17) led sugarcane harvest at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base, Malang regency, East Java province. During the event, the President interacted with farmers and listened their experiences and aspiration regarding agriculture sector.

One of the farmers, Yusuf, expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo for paying close attention to agricultural sector and for directly witnessing the harvest on the ground. He expressed hope that the Government will continue providing unwavering support to boost spirit of farmers in cultivating their land and maintaining the sustainability of national food production.

Another farmer, Muhammad, also shared similar sentiment. He expressed his immense excitement for meeting and talking with the President in person. According to him, that was a remarkable experience that lifts the spirit of farmers.

“I am very happy indeed. May Mr. President along with his subordinates and also the people always be safe, prosperous, advanced, and prosperous,” Muhammad said.

In the meantime, the Chairman of the Makmur Dua Farmers Group, appreciated the President’s visit which provides an opportunity for the public to directly report the conditions on the ground. He also expressed his gratitude for several government’s programs on agricultural sector that have been providing various benefits for the public, particularly farmers in the Great Malang region.

President Prabowo’s participation in the sugarcane harvest underscores the Government’s commitment to gathering on-the-ground insights and reinforcing agriculture as a foundation of national food security. By engaging in direct dialogue with local farmers, the Government guarantees that policy frameworks are progressively aligned with enhancing farmer livelihoods and driving agricultural innovation in Indonesia.
