President Prabowo Wishes CNY Serves as Moment to Strengthen Harmony in Diversity

President Prabowo Subianto delivers statement aired on Presidential Secretariat’s You Tube channel, on Wednesday (01/29).

President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (01/29) wished all Indonesian Chinese descents a happy Chinese New Year.

In his statement, the President invited all people to take this occasion as a moment to strengthen kinship and maintain harmony in diversity.

“On behalf of the Indonesian Government and on my own behalf, I wish a Happy Chinese New Year 2576 [Kongzili] to those who celebrate it,” the President stated.

The President went on to say that Chinese New Year is more than a celebration and tradition but also a symbol of hope and togetherness in a plural society. He expressed hope that this year brings joy, prosperity, and good fortune for all Chinese descents in Indonesia.
