President Prabowo Subianto, on Tuesday (01/27), held a meeting with several members of the Red and White Cabinet at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java province. The meeting discussed progress in educational cooperation between Indonesia and prestigious universities in the United Kingdom.

In a written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya mentioned that President Prabowo convened a meeting with ministers to discuss follow-up actions for strategic cooperation in the higher education sector, focusing on the development of high-quality human resources.

“Today, President Prabowo gathered several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The meeting focused on the progress in educational cooperation between Indonesia and several prestigious universities in the United Kingdom,” the Cabinet Secretary wrote.

During the meeting, President Prabowo received a report from Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto on the progress made in enhancing the national higher education system, particularly in health and STEM fields, through international partnerships.

“The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology highlighted that President Prabowo’s plan to establish 10 campuses specializing in health and STEM fields through collaboration with top UK universities has been met with a positive response from partner institutions,” the Cabinet Secretary said.

The Hambalang meeting underscored President Prabowo’s direct and forward-looking leadership in ensuring that international partnerships deliver tangible outcomes in improving education quality, strengthening national resilience, and preparing Indonesia to compete globally in science and technology.
