President Prabowo: 121 Transformative Policies Implemented in 21 Months

The Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and House of Regional Representatives (DPD), at Nusantara Building in the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta, Friday (08/14).

In 21 months or 663 days, the Government has adopted and implemented 121 transformative policies to address national challenges.

President Prabowo Subianto made the statement in his State of the Nation Address at the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and Joint Session of the House of Representatives and House of Regional Representatives, at Nusantara Building in the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta, Friday (08/14).

“In 21 months or precisely 663 days, to this date, the Government that I lead has adopted and implemented 121 transformative policies to address national challenges, some of which have remained unresolved for decades,” he said.

According to the President, the achievement shows that, on average, the Government issues one transformative policy every five days, demonstrating its seriousness in implementing the people’s mandate.

“The mandate from the people is a noble honor, and therefore, we will work with the utmost determination. We will give everything we have and work tirelessly for the people and for our nation,” he said.

The President pointed out that the Government is guided by four principal directives. First, to uphold and implement the mandates of the 1945 Constitution. Second, to safeguard and protect the core and vital national interests, including managing the national wealth for the prosperity of all Indonesian people. Third, to resolve the people’s difficulties as swiftly as possible. Fourth, to remain oriented toward the interests of the people, including their children and grandchildren.

The Head of State further said that the hard work and courage to make decisions have yielded results, one of which is food self-sufficiency, a goal initially set to be achieved in four years but achieved in only one year.

“This year, we have achieved self-sufficiency in eight food commodities. We have achieved self-sufficiency in rice, corn, table sugar, chicken, egg, shallot, large chili pepper, and bird’s eye chili. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have yet to achieve self-sufficiency in beef. We expect to achieve it in the next five to six years, insha Allah,” he said.

President Prabowo also stated that the Government has removed 145 regulations governing fertilizer distribution, reduced fertilizer prices by 20 percent, and increased fertilizer availability for farmers, adding that the profit of state-owned fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia rose by 252.8 percent.

Achievements were also made in the energy sector. The President pointed out that, through the implementation of the palm oil-based B50, Indonesia has stopped diesel fuel imports since July 1, 2026, saving Rp170 trillion, or approximately US$9.5 billion, in foreign exchange.

These achievements demonstrate that commitments to providing nutritious meals, social aid, and downstreaming are implemented and are no longer mere plans on paper.

“Everything is underway, and the public is beginning to benefit,” he said while underscoring that the Government should not be complacent as it still has a lot of work to do to ensure that all Indonesian people truly experience independence.

“I did not receive a mandate from the people to explain why problems cannot be solved. I received a mandate from the people to solve the problems and difficulties they face.
