President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (11/19), inaugurated the Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Surakarta city. The inauguration of the high-tech health facility marks a new milestone in Indonesia-the United Arab Emirates (UAE) strategic cooperation and continuing the initiatives initiated during the administration of President Joko Widodo.

In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He said that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan contributed immensely to the hospital construction.

“This is the magnanimity of the UAE President His Highness Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan who has always paid great attention to our nation since he was young,” said the President.

He further explained that the hospital construction project was initiated by President Joko Widodo. This project is also an example of sustainable national development.

“The hospital construction is one of President Joko Widodo’s initiatives. It was started on his initiative when he took the office.  I am truly blessed to be the one who inaugurates [the hospital]. Destiny cannot be denied. This should be accepted gracefully,” the President joked, making the invitees laugh.

President Prabowo also reiterated the close ties between Indonesia and UEA. The Head of State expressed special appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for his dedication and consistent assistance.

“Once again I thank our brothers in the Emirates. Please, pass on my highest regards to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, my good friend and a very good brother to Indonesia.
