After three days full of activities, the retreat for cabinet members held at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java province, officially ended on Sunday (10/27).

The last morning in the academy began with morning exercise with President Prabowo Subianto. The cabinet members and the President wore blue training uniforms. After morning exercise, the activity continued with sports such as volleyball, futsal, running, yoga, and climbing Mount Tidar. After exercising, all cabinet members enjoyed breakfast together, enjoying the fresh air of Magelang, far away from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Security Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, and Special Advisor to the President for Political and Security Affairs Wiranto then led the cabinet members to their respective buses, accompanied by guard of honor and the Canka Lokananta marching band of the Military Academy cadets. At the main gate of the Military Academy, local residents gathered to see and greet the cabinet members.

In the meantime, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the three days at Military Academy was an impressive experience.

Raffi Ahmad, the President’s Special Envoy for the Development of Young Generation and Arts Workers, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join the retreat. Raffi also praised President Prabowo for cordial interaction with cabinet members during the retreat.

Meutya Hafid, Minister of Communications and Digital Sector, stated that cabinet members enthusiastically carried out activities during the retreat.

“I hope that I can uphold the value of discipline and togetherness and implement those values in the Ministry so that we can achieve our target,” Meutya said.

Commander of the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto said that the retreat made him reminisce the time when he was a cadet at the Military Academy. He also expressed his pride witnessing the spirit of togetherness of the cabinet members.

“The most interesting thing was the drilling activity which reminded me of thirty-three years ago when I was here. I also saw that the participants of the retreat, including ministers, vice ministers, and heads of agencies, were very enthusiastic in carrying out activities, especially the drilling activity. The participants woke up early and joined the activities of the Military Academy cadets, and everyone was happy,” he remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/ABD) (RI/MMB)
