President Prabowo Highlights Strong Economic Momentum in First Year

Indonesia’s economy is moving in the right direction despite ongoing global uncertainty, according to President Prabowo Subianto.

The President delivered the statement in his remarks at the 2025 Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting, held at Graha Bhasvara Icchana, Bank Indonesia Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (11/28).

On that occasion, President Prabowo responded to presentations delivered by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and Governor of Bank Indonesia, who outlined comprehensive data on the country’s economic strengthening over the past year.

“I think we can acknowledge that the presentations were comprehensive, complete, and detailed reports, offering us a picture of Indonesia’s economic condition that is promising and reassuring amid global challenges marked by high uncertainty,” the President said.

The President emphasized that the positive economic trend is inseparable from strong cooperation and synergy among all economic policymakers, including the central and regional governments, financial institutions, and strategic sectors.

“This is the result of strong synergy and cooperation among all stakeholders in economic sector. I feel greatly supported by key figures in our economic governance. I am grateful and I consider myself fortunate to be supported by exceptional individuals, and what we have achieved is the result of our efforts,” the President said.

President Prabowo further stated that the economic achievements reflect the Government’s commitment to building a clean governance while placing the people’s interests as the highest priority.

“I thank Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Finance, Governor of Bank Indonesia, Minister of Home Affairs, Coordinating Ministers, Commander of the TNI, Chief of the Polri, Minister of Investment, and Chairperson of the National Economic Council (DEN). I think our joint efforts have brought good results to the people,” the President said.

The 2025 Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting concluded with optimism that Indonesia is ready to move toward stronger, more equitable, and more sustainable economic growth in years to come.
