President Prabowo Subianto: National Self-Reliance Starts with World-Class Education

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the key to achieve national self-reliance across strategic sectors is through world-class quality education.
He made the statement at a limited meeting with ministers of the Red and White Cabinet at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor regency, West Java province, Monday (06/23).
“President Prabowo Subianto underlined that Indonesia will not be able to achieve self-reliance in the industry, defense, energy, and technology sectors without supported by high quality human resources, that trained through a world-class education system,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in his official statement.
Teddy further explained that Garuda School is designed as a boarding school model that adopts the national curriculum following global education standards. This program aims to identify the best young generation across Indonesia who have exceptional potential to continue their studies at leading global universities.
“Garuda School is a national strategic program designed to prepare the best young generation from all regions in the country to continue their studies at top global universities and, in the future, become the drivers of national progress,” Teddy added.
Enrolment process to Garuda School will be conducted through a highly competitive system, based on academic achievement records and competency tests. All students will receive full scholarships regardless of their social or economic background.
“Garuda School applies a boarding senior high school model adopting national curriculum and following global standards. Admissions are based on a tight selection process, emphasizing academic records and competency tests, with a full scholarship scheme for all selected students regardless of social or economic background,” Teddy explained.
