Mr. Jokowi, looking at Investor Daily Summit, in the transition period. You expressed optimism that economic growth during Mr. Prabowo’s administration would be at eight percent. Could you explain further, Sir?

We must be optimistic in facing the challenges of the global economic slowdown, climate change, or increased geopolitical tensions. We can face and resolve such problems. We can achieve and realize the planned target with optimism. Without optimism, (such a target) is difficult to realize. I will say it again, industrial downstreaming and digitalization are the keys to heading over there.

Related to optimism, the investment target in Nusantara this year reach Rp100 trillion, but as of today, only Rp58.4 trillion has been fulfilled. How optimistic is the Government about achieving the Rp100 trillion target?

We have to remain optimistic. Many investors approach us. We just need to ensure their seriousness and give the opportunity to those who fit. Not anyone can invest there since there are selection processes. And it is true that the figure is Rp58 trillion. Rp58 trillion is an enormous figure.

Another question, Sir. What is your thought regarding the judges’ strike to demand an increase in their salary and performance allowance?

Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Minister of Law and Human Rights, and Ministry of Finance are still studying and calculating everything. Everything has just been assessed and calculated.
