Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
May peace and prosperity be upon us all,
Shalom,
Salve,
Om Swastiastu,
Namo Buddhaya,
Greetings of virtue,
Rahayu, rahayu.

Your Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Delegation;
All of the Indian Community in Indonesia;
Members of the Indonesian Government, from the Provincial Government.

Namaskar.

Today, I have the honor of accompanying His Excellency Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, on a visit to Prambanan Temple, one of the world’s great civilizational masterpieces and a cultural heritage site that is the pride of not only for the Indonesian people but also for the world.

This visit carries profound significance. Prambanan Temple is not merely a symbol of the glory of Indonesia’s history and culture, but it also serves as a reminder of the strong civilizational ties that have connected Indonesia and India for over 1,000 years.

The relation between our two nations is not solely built upon political, economic, and defense cooperation, but is also deeply rooted in shared cultural values, the pursuit of knowledge, and mutual respect. The legacy of that long-standing relationship can still be witnessed and felt today.

Prambanan Temple is not just a historical building. It stands as a symbol of the great civilization of Nusantara that highly upholds knowledge, art, spirituality, and humanity. It also holds special significance for both Indonesian and India, as the Ramayana reliefs carved into its walls bear witness to the close civilizational ties between our two nations.

I hope this visit will further strengthen the friendship between the people of Indonesia and the people of India. Culture serves as a bridge that brings nations together, fosters mutual understanding, and builds trust as we move toward a shared future.

On this joyous occasion, I warmly welcome the agreement on the conservation and restoration of the Prambanan Temple Complex between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of India.

On behalf of the Government and the people of Indonesia, I extend my highest appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his three-day state visit to Indonesia. May the friendship between Indonesia and India grow stronger, closer, and continue to yield tangible and mutually beneficial cooperation for our two countries and our peoples.

Thank you.

Dhanyavaad.
