The meeting earlier was closed to the public, what were the key points, Sir?

President of the Republic of Indonesia  (Prabowo Subianto)

Earlier, I said that Danantara is a national asset of Indonesia. It must be properly managed, safeguarded, and maintained with a transparent and very strict system, as this is extraordinary wealth that can drive our resurgence. We must manage it properly. We have calculated our assets. It turns out that we are rich. Maybe soon Danantara’s assets will reach US$1 trillion. If managed well, this can generate huge national funds for our nation. This is my approach.

And, on behalf of the nation and the people, I call on all directors to do their best, to abandon old practices that may be inefficient. Any improper practices must be abandoned.

I leave it to management to evaluate all the directors. Evaluate their performance, character, morals, and achievements. If they don’t perform, if they are lazy, if they engage in unethical practices, abuse authority, or misuse facilities, I order them to be replaced. Promote capable individuals within the organization, especially from the bottom. If that is not an option, find skilled professionals; do not bring the incapable ones.

I said, do not choose based on ethnicity, religion, race, background, or political parties, don’t. They must be Indonesians who work wholeheartedly for the people of Indonesia. Those were the key points.

Sir, why was the meeting closed to the public?

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto)

It was a closed one because I scolded the directors a lot.  It is not comfortable, right, being scolded in front of you all. Alright. (FI/LW)
