President Jokowi Asks Public Not to Spread Issues that Cause Pessimism
President Joko Jokowi Widodo asked the public to refrain from spreading various issues that cause our nation to be pessimistic.
The people of our country must have a strong mentality, be resistant and resilient, the President said during a public lecture at the Islamic University of Malang (Unisma), Malang, East Java, Thursday (29/3).
A big country is fated to face obstacles and trials. Therefore, President Jokowi ordered that we must withstand the test and be resilient.
This is the task of our young generation in the future; the challenge will be even greater. We should not be influenced by issues that can cause our children to become pessimistic. No longer should we be distracted by these issues, the President said.
From the very beginning, the President continued, we are a very diverse and plural nation, and we realize that these differences are the grace of the God given to Indonesian people.
?Many other countries want to be as strong as us, Indonesia, the President said while calls on our active role to help other nations to maintain unity in diversity, just like Indonesia.
As a nation that has become a reference of other nations in managing the differences and diversity as well as in building unity that President Jokowi has been reminded, we must also have a big mentality.
As a point of reference we must also be a leader-minded, dare to face challenges and obstacles and to overcome it, President Jokowi concluded. He also added that the bigger a country, the greater the challenges it faces and we should not be frightened and pessimistic.
