Transportation Minister Invites Millennials to Give Positive Perception on Transportation

Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi invited the millennials at Ministry of Transportation to disseminate various information related to transportation sector, especially through social media.

“The dissemination aims to provide knowledge about transportation to the people,” the Minister said on his remarks at a comparative study on the Telkom Landmark Tower Command Center with Millennials of Ministry of Transportation, Friday (4/1).

“I invite millennials to visit Telkom Landmark Tower to find out the importance of communication, to see telecommunications that currently developing, and to better understand how to produce information to the public,” Budi said.

According to Budi, information mapping is currently being carried out by the Ministry to provide the correct dissemination of information to the public. He also expressed hope that there will be good collaboration between ministries/institutions and Telkom (state-owned telecommunications company) in the future.

“Therefore, I invite millennials to jointly educate the public and give positive perceptions (on Indonesian transportation),” he said.

On that occasion, the Minister also gave appreciation to the millennials who had attended the event. “Usually, ministries are bureaucratic and it is hoped that we can adopt the mindset here (Telkom). Also, as a means of education for millennials who have come, so that they became smarter,” Budi added. (BKIP Kemenhub/ES/EN)
