Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia during Inspection of Mass COVID-19 Vaccination, 14 June 2021, at Pluit Dam, DKI Jakarta Province

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

This morning I, along with Minister of Health and Governor of Jakarta, inspected mass COVID-19 vaccination at Pluit dam. This vaccination is open for public and we will carry out mass vaccination for five thousand people.

We also hope that Capital Jakarta will vaccinate 100,000 people per day, as we have set the target before, in order to immediately achieve herd immunity or community immunity.

With this target, we hope we will achieve herd immunity in August this year and the spread of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta is also expected to be curbed and decreased.

That concludes my speech on this auspicious occasion.

I have talked to Minister of Health and Governor of DKI Jakarta about the management of the vaccination and preparation of the vaccine stock. We have calculated them. Insyaalllah, everything will run well.
