Press Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia before the Handing Over of Capital Assistance for Street Vendors, 19 October 2021 in Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province

This afternoon, I was in Tarakan city, North Kalimantan province, in order to hand over capital assistance provided by the Government for street vendors on this road worth Rp1.2 million.

And we hope through this additional capital, they can develop their businesses well amid this difficult situation due to the pandemic. Based on the information delivered previously, they are optimistic about it since their turnover has now been increasing. It was much better than before.

We hope when the situation returns to normal, their turnover will also keep increasing, higher than before. That concludes my remarks. I thank you. (RIF/LW)
