President Jokowi Visits MSMEs Exhibition, Buys Bomber Jacket with Sintang Dayak Patterns

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (12/08) took the time visiting a local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) exhibition at a corner of the newly built Tebelian Airport in Sintang regency, West Kalimantan province before inaugurating the airport.

On that occasion, the President together with Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and Governor of West Kalimantan Sutarmidji spent time looking at Sintang’s woven fabrics.

The President then bought a bomber jacket with typical Sintang Dayak patterns dominated by red and put it on right away.

At first, the President seemed more interested in buying woven fabrics, but the Ministers and the Governor persuaded him to buy a jacket.

“Come on, Sir, just buy one to promote Sintang’s woven fabrics,” the Governor said.

The Head of State finally decided to pick the bomber jacket. Meanwhile, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi bought a piece of woven fabrics and wore it immediately. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (RIF/MUR)
