President Jokowi Arrives in E. Kalimantan for Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (10/25), arrived at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan city, East Kalimantan province using the Indonesian-1 Presidential Aircraft from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.

President Jokowi then continued his schedule by visiting Klandasan Market in Balikpapan city to hand over cash assistance to market traders and street vendors.

The President will also hand over a number of social assistances to beneficiaries at the Balikpapan Branch Post Office in Balikpapan city. The social assistance provided included Fuel Cash Assistance and Wage Subsidy Assistance.

After that, the President is scheduled to travel to Semayang Port in Balikpapan to go to North Penajam Paser regency using fast patrol boat KRI Escolar 871. The President will head to the Ground Zero of the New Capital of Nusantara (IKN), North Penajam Paser regency, after arriving at Cita Sabut Port, Sepaku district, North Penajam Paser regency.

The President is also slated to inspect a number of infrastructures in the IKN area, including the Sepaku Semoi Dam, and the Mentawir Nursery as well as the land development.

Following the inspection, the President will fly to Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport using the Indonesian Air Force’s Super Puma Helicopter, and then to Jakarta using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft.
