Press Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Destruction of 214.84 Tons of Confiscated Drugs Worth Rp29.37 Trillion during President Prabowo Subianto’s Administration, at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 29, 2025

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Prabowo Subianto):

I, personally, have witnessed how the National Police (Polri), the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), and other related agencies, have worked hard. We agree that drugs are extremely dangerous for us.

It requires collaboration from all sides, including parents, teachers, environment, neighborhood unit heads, village heads, and others.
We cannot allow illicit drugs to spread. The moment there is any sign of drugs transaction, report it right away, everyone. Parents, do not let drugs ruin your children’s lives and future. If you notice anything suspicious, report it immediately.

We will soon increase the number of rehabilitation centers since there is none in some regencies. We will build it immediately.

Still, it is our joint task as a nation. Do not rely on just one or two institutions. That won’t do. We all should work together because drugs are serious threats.
Earlier, I told the Police Chief to give me a report if there are any signs of a drug factory being uncovered because I want to be present at that time to emphasize that this is our collective efforts.
